US Defense Secretary Hegseth makes unannounced visit to Israel, meets Netanyahu on Iran

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth arrived unannounced at Ovda Airbase to visit American soldiers stationed in Israel. Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz joined him for a meeting that lasted approximately 90 minutes, ending around 21:00. Iran was the primary topic of discussion. IDF Chief of Staff Zamir and other senior military officers were excluded, with only political leadership participating. A security source stated that a resumption of operations against Iran appears inevitable but will likely not occur before Israel's elections and US midterm elections. No UAE representatives participated, contrary to earlier reports.
