The United States has warned several Gulf states to prepare for the possibility of a short and intense military campaign against Iran following upcoming midterm elections, according to The Wall Street Journal. American forces are reinforcing missile defense systems, replenishing ammunition stockpiles, and preparing bombers and fighter jets for possible strikes. The report indicates Trump is inclined to support a broad attack against infrastructure and nuclear sites in Iran, though no final decision has been made. Israel is also preparing to resume strikes.
