Hadad Slams Liberman's Jordan Proposal: "Insane Delusion"

Yosef Haddad, the number-two candidate on Ofer Winter's Amcha Yisrael party list, released a blistering response to Yisrael Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Liberman's proposal regarding Jordan. Liberman had suggested in an interview that Jordan manage Areas B and C in Judea and Samaria, though he later clarified he meant Areas A and B.

"Okay, he issued a clarification that he meant Areas A and B," Haddad wrote. "But wait, does anyone think that's less terrible? That Jordan should enter Judea and Samaria?! Into the Land of Israel?! Really, Liberman?"

He continued sharply: "You know very well that historically this land is called the Land of Judea. Not the West Bank, the colonialist, Jordanian name that the international community adopted based on a false narrative. Jordan conquered this territory militarily, and in '67 our heroes liberated these lands and risked their lives, and you're bringing the Jordanians back here and handing them these lands back on a platter?!"

The Amcha Yisrael candidate expressed categorical opposition to any possibility of Jordanian military presence in the territories. "Do I need to explain to you the danger of the hostile Jordanian army, when just yesterday the King of Jordan trashed our country at the UN podium, that they should enter our land and take control?! This is simply an insane delusion!" he wrote.

Hadad noted the political firestorm Liberman's proposal sparked, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responding sharply: "I couldn't believe you'd suggest that the Jordanian army should rule the Land of Israel."

Yisrael Beiteinu clarified it was a mistake, and that Liberman meant Areas A and B, not C.

"Without Israeli security control there, we'll get the next massacre in Kfar Saba!" Hadad warned. "Just listen to what the Jordanians themselves are saying and what they want to do to us. So they'll be here, on Highway 6!!"

He also addressed Liberman's political partnerships. "I understand you're running with Gabi Laskey and maybe leaning again on Mansour Abbas, which is itself a very big problem, but to bring the Jordanian army into the Land of Israel?!" he wrote, referring to Liberman's meeting with Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the Yashar party.

"Let me remind you, Liberman, your party is called 'Yisrael Beiteinu', Israel Our Home? But you're willing to give up a significant part of that home?! Let's just go back to the '48 lines and be done with it...

Bottom line: It won't happen! The foot of a Jordanian soldier will not tread again on the soil of our country!!! Oh, and if you still didn't understand, now I have no doubt you'll understand very well, that Ofer and I will not sit under Liberman. Get out of this fantasy."

Haddad, positioned second on the Amcha Yisrael list, has previously made clear he will not cooperate with the Arab parties. "I despise these people. I'm coming to replace them. I'm coming to kick them out of the Knesset," he said in an interview with Radio Kol Yisrael.
