The LUMAGICA international light festival, produced by MK Illumination, is returning to Tel Aviv with new installations combining light, water, flowers, music and technology. This year's attractions include tens of thousands of illuminated flowers, a massive water show, and a European-style winter market.
A central installation will feature a lit field of approximately 30,000 tulip flowers created specifically for the Tel Aviv festival. Giant flowers, light sculptures and kinetic elements incorporating color, movement and music will be placed alongside them.
Another attraction will be a massive water screen, up to 30 meters wide and approximately 10 meters high, on which video art created for the festival will be projected. The show will combine water, light and original music written and composed by artist Misha Anton.
Visitors this year will also be able to participate in interactive installations, not only walk among the light sculptures and observe them.
Alongside the installations, a European-style winter market will operate, including two large kosher food areas, diverse food stalls, and a carnival games section.
