The Infiltration Plot

Mossad in the Shadows? Tehran Claims Israel is Arming Protesters with Live Ammo

As the internal stability of the Islamic Republic continues to deteriorate, the conflict is increasingly spilling over its borders. Reuters has reported that armed Kurdish separatist groups have attempted to cross the border from Iraq into Iran in recent days, looking to capitalize on the chaos. According to three separate sources, including a senior Iranian official, Turkish intelligence agencies actually warned the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) about these movements. The IRGC has reportedly engaged in direct skirmishes with these fighters, whom the regime labels as terrorists intent on exploiting the nationwide protests to create further instability.

This border tension is being used by Tehran to craft a narrative that the uprising is not a grassroots movement, but a "foreign intervention." Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has specifically targeted Israel, alleging that Jerusalem is arming protesters with live ammunition. Araghchi claimed that "Israel has always sought to drag the US into wars on its behalf" and suggested that the high death toll is the result of Israeli supplied weaponry. These accusations are part of a broader attempt to deflect blame for the mounting casualties away from the regime's own security forces.

The military leadership in Tehran has also ramped up its personal threats against Western leaders. Mohammad Pakpour, the commander of the IRGC’s ground forces, explicitly named the American President and the Israeli Prime Minister as the "murderers of Iranian youth." He stated that the "brutal crimes committed by their mercenaries will not be forgotten" and promised a response at the "appropriate time." These statements are accompanied by warnings from senior advisors like Ali Shamkhani, who reminded the US of the previous missile strike on the Al-Udeid base, suggesting that Iran is ready to repeat such an attack if the US intervenes kineticly.

Turkey has also weighed in, warning that any foreign intervention in Iran would lead to an even greater escalation of crises across the region. While the regime focuses on external enemies, the reality on the ground remains one of internal collapse. The accusations of Kurdish infiltration and Israeli arms shipments serve as a convenient distraction from the fact that thousands of Iranians are being killed by their own government in cities from Tehran to Tabriz.
