A new episode of "MasterChef" airs Sunday evening on Israel's Keshet 12, featuring contestant Gal Kasperes offering viewers a window into more than just her culinary skills. While preparing a rich, caramelized onion soup inspired by a winter trip to Paris with her daughter Amit, Kasperes opened up about becoming a young mother and her decision to remain single.
Kasperes became a mother for the first time at just 18 years old. She notes that strangers are often surprised to discover that the young women beside her are actually her daughters. Despite her career and various pursuits, she emphasizes that her identity as a mother always comes first. "I am first of all Gal and I am a mother, and after that I am everything else," she stated.
Beyond the fond memories of Paris, Kasperes also discussed her relationship status. Divorced for approximately 12 years, she admits she's in no rush to re-enter the dating world. "Every time the thought of a relationship comes up, I say 'this isn't the time.' I don't have patience for it," she shared candidly, explaining her practical approach to life: "A relationship right now doesn't advance me, and it's very possible that I'm wrong."
