Hilary Duff Is Back
After 10 Years: Hilary Duff’s Comeback Could Be the Nostalgia Trip of 2025
Former Disney star Hilary Duff confirms her return to music with Atlantic Records, marking her first studio album in a decade.

Hilary Duff, the actress and pop star who defined an era for millions of millennials, is stepping back into the music spotlight. The 37-year-old “Lizzie McGuire” icon confirmed this week that she is working on her first studio album in ten years, in partnership with Atlantic Records.
Duff, remembered by fans of the early 2000s for hit films such as A Cinderella Story, Raise Your Voice, and The Lizzie McGuire Movie, as well as a string of successful pop albums, has largely focused on acting in recent years, including her role on the acclaimed series Younger. Her last album was released in 2015.
“This album represents a long-awaited musical return and my personal journey,” Duff said in a press release, adding that the record will reflect “the highs, the lows, and everything in between.”
She revealed she is already in the recording process, balancing motherhood, studio sessions, rehearsals, and preparations for her first live performances in over a decade.
Atlantic Records described the project as an intimate look into Duff’s life today, as she navigates family, fame, and her renewed commitment to music.
For fans who grew up with Lizzie McGuire or sang along to “Come Clean” and “So Yesterday,” the announcement signals a nostalgic yet forward-looking chapter in Duff’s career and one of the most anticipated pop comebacks of the year.
