Israeli singer-songwriter Idan Amedi is making a significant shift in his performance style. After two years of playing to packed arenas with elaborate lighting, massive screens, and thousands of cheering fans, the popular musician is stepping away from large-scale productions in favor of something more intimate.
Amedi has announced a new acoustic concert series titled "Karov" (meaning "close" in Hebrew), marking a deliberate return to a simpler format. The stripped-down shows will feature the artist performing with minimal accompaniment—just his voice, guitar, and piano—without the elaborate staging that has characterized his recent tours. The concept aims to present his popular songs in their most raw form, emphasizing the direct connection between performer and audience.
The first performances in the series are scheduled for September at the Expo Theater in Tel Aviv.
