A four-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle on Rav Chanina Street in Beit Shemesh on Monday, leaving him in critical condition with multi-system trauma. Emergency medical teams from Magen David Adom (MDA) and United Hatzalah arrived at the scene and immediately began resuscitation efforts before transporting the child to hospital. United Hatzalah's Chosen psychological support unit was also deployed to provide mental health assistance to witnesses given the traumatic nature of the incident.
Moshe Horowitz, Binyamin Shimon, and Moshe Yaakov Vales, United Hatzalah medics who responded to the scene, reported: "We were told he was hit by a vehicle. We provided initial medical care while performing resuscitation. He was then evacuated to the hospital with ongoing resuscitation efforts in critical condition. United Hatzalah's Chosen unit is providing psychological support at the scene due to the nature of the incident."
