A new designated waiting lot opened Monday at Ben Gurion Airport, allowing drivers picking up passengers to wait for up to one hour free of charge.
The lot is intended for drivers arriving to collect passengers from the airport, giving them a place to wait until travelers are ready for pickup without stopping on access roads or blocking traffic near the terminals.
The Israel Airports Authority reminded drivers that stopping or waiting on the sides of roads inside Ben Gurion Airport is prohibited and dangerous. Enforcement is carried out through a network of cameras across the airport area.
Drivers who stop illegally in restricted areas risk a NIS 500 fine.
The new lot is located a few minutes from the terminal. Drivers can navigate there using Waze by searching: “One hour parking - Ben Gurion Airport”.
