Chuck Schumer Surpises Us Again | WATCH
Just after the news came out about the slaughter of some fifteen innocent Jews on Bondi Beach, killed while attending a Chabad Hanukkah event, Chuck Schumer makes a truly idiotic comment.

Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) is drawing sharp criticism after opening a press conference with a celebratory shout-out to the Buffalo Bills before addressing the deadly antisemitic terrorist attack at a Hanukkah event in Sydney's Bondi Beach, where 15 people were killed. In a viral video clip from the press conference, Schumer stated: "I’m going to say a few words about the terrible shooting in Sydney, Australia... And first, of course, as I always say, "Go Bills. They beat the Patriots today. It’s a big deal.""
The remark, made hours after the horrific Bondi beach slaughter, in which some 15 Jews were massacred and dozens injured, has been branded "tone deaf" and "soulless" by critics across social media and conservative outlets.
Conservative podcaster Alec Lace posted the clip on X, captioning it: "TONE DEAF AF. Chuck Schumer says he’ll comment on the shooting at Brown University and the terrorist attack in Australia… But first... GO BILLS!"
The post garnered over a million views.
One prominent critic described the sequence as relegating "15 dead Jews to a warm-up act for his (phony) football fandom," calling it "repulsive" and declaring that "repulsive isn't a strong enough word."
Schumer, who is Jewish and has authored a book on antisemitism, later condemned the attack during the press conference, saying: "As we light the menorah on this first night of Hanukkah the global Jewish community is in shock and in mourning."
He highlighted one victim, Rabbi Eli Schlanger, as "a pillar of the Crown Heights community, not too far away from where I live." Earlier on X, Schumer posted: "The horrific antisemitic terrorist attack at a Hanukkah festival in Sydney is beyond appalling. It is a shocking reminder that antisemitism and hate is not only toxic and far too present and widespread around the world, it is deadly."
The backlash comes amid heightened global tensions over antisemitism following the ISIS-inspired attack by a father-son duo using legally owned firearms. Many have correctly pointed out that Schumer's bizarre and lighthearted sports reference undermined the gravity of the moment, with others calling Schumer "a disgrace to the Jewish people."
