Israel's David's Sling air defense system has completed a series of complex live-fire tests, marking a significant upgrade in the country's capabilities against aerial threats including long-range rockets, ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles.
The tests were conducted by the Homa Administration within Israel's Ministry of Defense Directorate of Defense Research and Development, known as Mapat, in collaboration with the U.S. Missile Defense Agency and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems. The scenarios were designed to address existing and emerging regional threats, defense officials said.
"This series ended succesfully," said Moshe Patel, head of the Homa Administration, adding that personnel implemented real-time modifications during recent combat operations that enhanced the capabilities of Israel's air defense systems.
