In a joint operation south of Jenin, Israeli Duvdevan unit fighters and Shin Bet agents eliminated Sultan Al-Ghani, the terrorist responsible for the brutal attack at the Brown Industrial Zone, in which Gideon Perry was killed with a hammer, and the assailant stole his gun and vehicle before fleeing.
According to the IDF, the operation, which lasted throughout the night, involved the arrest of five assisting terrorists by Duvdevan fighters, paratrooper reconnaissance units, and Shin Bet forces. Following this, the forces surrounded the building where the terrorist had barricaded himself. After an exchange of fire, the fighters neutralized the terrorist. During searches of the structure, the forces discovered a Carlo submachine gun, an M16 rifle, explosives, and ammunition magazines.
