New Poll: Bibi Loses Head-to-Head

The most striking figure in the poll comes in the question of suitability for prime minister. Eisenkot received 38% support, ahead of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who received 35%.

Gadi Eisenkot continues to gain ground in the polls, with a new Channel 12 survey showing his Yashar party rising to 19 seats and closing in on Naftali Bennett’s Together party.

According to the poll, Together, led by Bennett and Yair Lapid, now stands at 21 seats, leaving Eisenkot only two seats behind. The result marks a dramatic shift from just a month ago, when Bennett led Eisenkot by 11 seats and appeared to be consolidating his position as the clear leader of the anti-Netanyahu camp.

The latest numbers suggest that the race for leadership of the bloc is now wide open. Eisenkot has steadily gained support in recent weeks, while Bennett’s alliance has been losing momentum.

The most striking figure in the poll comes in the question of suitability for prime minister. Eisenkot received 38% support, ahead of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who received 35%.

The result positions Eisenkot not only as a rising party leader, but as a potential alternative candidate for prime minister. For Bennett, the trend is especially worrying: his main argument for leading the bloc has been that he is the candidate best positioned to beat Netanyahu and bring right-leaning voters into the opposition camp.

If Eisenkot continues to close the gap, that argument becomes harder to sustain. The battle is no longer only about seats, but about who the public sees as the more credible candidate to lead the next government.
