Residents in Israel's western Negev experienced received rocket and missile alert through the Home Front Command mobile application for the area around Kibbutz Alumim in the Sdot Negev Regional Council.
The Israel Defense Forces quickly issued a clarification stating that the alert was a false detection and that there was no security concern in the region.
The military reminded the public to continue following Home Front Command instructions and to act according to safety protocols when genuine alerts are issued.
