The 40-year-old woman seriously wounded in yesterday's (Tuesday’s) combined stabbing and vehicle-ramming terror attack at Gush Etzion Junction continues to fight for her life, Hadassah Ein Kerem Medical Center reported. Hospital officials stated that the woman underwent emergency surgery yesterday by senior teams in vascular surgery, orthopedics, and general surgery. She remains sedated and on a ventilator in the intensive care unit, with her condition still described as critical.

The attack claimed the life of Aharon Cohen, 71, from Kiryat Arba, who was stabbed and pronounced dead at the scene. In addition to the 40 year old woman, a man in his 30s and a 15-year-old boy were injured, both in moderate condition with penetrating wounds, evacuated to Shaare Zedek and Hadassah hospitals.

The two Palestinian terrorists were neutralized on site by soldiers from Reserve Battalion 7491 of the Etzion Brigade. IDF forces immediately sealed off surrounding villages and closed the junction in all directions.

Magen David Adom paramedic Uriel Lavi, one of the first responders, recounted: “We arrived to a complex and unusual scene. We quickly scanned the area, located multiple victims with penetrating injuries, provided initial treatment on site, and evacuated them while stabilizing their condition.”

The Yesha Council responded sharply: “When the State of Israel silently allows a ‘path to a Palestinian state,’ terror raises its head again. We have said all along — it’s either sovereignty or a Palestinian state. Israel avoided sovereignty, and now we are giving tailwind to a terror state in the heart of the land.”
