Paradise for Terrorists, Hell for Civilians

Feasting on Blood: IDF Exposes Hamas' Luxury Life Amid Gaza's Despair

A provocative cartoon shared by the IDF’s Arabic spokesperson has ignited conversation about the stark contrast between Gaza's suffering civilians and the lavish lifestyle of its leadership. The visual serves as a symbolic critique of how Hamas exploits its own people while profiting from war and chaos.

IDF Cartoon Exposes Hamas’ Greed and Hypocrisy: Leaders Feast While Civilians Bleed

In a bold and provocative move, the Israel Defense Forces’ Arabic-language spokesperson, Lt. Col. Avichay Adraee, released a blistering cartoon on Thursday morning condemning the Hamas leadership for living in luxury while the people of Gaza suffer the consequences of the war the terror group initiated. The cartoon, shared widely on social media, visually drives home the accusation that Hamas exploits Palestinian civilians for its own gain caring more for its own comfort and power than for the wellbeing of the population it claims to defend.

The cartoon shows Hamas leaders seated on golden chairs, gorging themselves on lavish dishes platters overflowing with meat, fish, fruit, and other fine foods. Just behind them, a stark contrast is depicted: a devastated Gazan mother clutching her bleeding child amid the rubble, symbolizing the real human cost of Hamas’ policies and actions.

Adraee’s accompanying message in Arabic minced no words:

“Hamas' ISIS gorges themselves on golden chairs, while children in the streets dream of a loaf of bread that these Hamas-ISIS thugs steal from them. What a curse — when the wicked are full and the poor are starving.”

The message targets not only Hamas, but its broader ideological alliance with extremist movements like ISIS, highlighting the way such groups prioritize violent “resistance” narratives while enriching themselves and sacrificing civilians.

“Hamas’s Muslim Brotherhood-ISIS leaders live in luxury and five-star hotels, oblivious to their people,” Adraee added. “They speak in slogans of false resistance, which has become a business of trading in the blood of innocents. The leaders of Hamas live in paradise while their people suffer in hell.”

The IDF’s statement aims to draw attention to the core contradiction of Hamas’ leadership: while they provoke wars that lead to destruction and displacement, they themselves remain safe, well-funded, and shielded from the suffering they unleash. Since the October 7 attacks launched by Hamas on Israeli territory, Gaza has seen widespread destruction and civilian casualties outcomes that Hamas leaders have used to bolster their global narrative of victimhood, even as they continue to profit off the chaos.

Adraee’s cartoon reinforces a growing argument made by both Israeli officials and international observers: Hamas’s primary victims are not only Israeli civilians but also the very Palestinian people they purport to represent. With Gaza’s infrastructure collapsing, food and medical shortages rampant, and the population enduring unimaginable hardship, Hamas elites are reported to be living in comfort abroad, or deep in underground bunkers, well-fed and protected.

As the war continues, the IDF’s message serves as a pointed reminder of who is truly responsible for Gaza’s suffering and who is benefiting from it.
