Here's Why the IDF is Treating Yemen’s Newest Propaganda as a Real-World Threat
The IDF is on high alert following the release of Houthi training videos simulating invasions of Israeli towns. As the Iranian-backed rebels move missile and drone assets in Yemen, Israeli security forces are conducting specialized drills to prevent potential sea or land infiltrations in the south.

The Israeli security establishment is closely monitoring a series of new propaganda videos released by the Houthi rebels in Yemen, which depict armed terrorists practicing raids on Israeli towns and military outposts. While the IDF currently views these as part of a "psychological warfare" campaign, the military is treating the underlying threat with maximum seriousness.
The videos, which have been analyzed in classified security briefings, show Houthi militants simulating:
According to military analyst Amir Bohbot, these videos were the subject of an in-depth security meeting. While high-ranking officials noted that the footage is designed for social media consumption, they emphasized that the IDF is not being passive. The Air Force and intelligence branches are continuously updating their bank of targets in Yemen. In addition, Israel is refining its detection systems to account for long-range threats, including the movement of Houthi missile and drone stockpiles.
Security forces are preparing for the "day after" the propaganda, specifically the possibility of a real-world attempt to infiltrate the Eilat region or the Sinai Peninsula. The IDF, Shin Bet, and Israel Police are conducting joint drills in the south to improve operational readiness against sea-borne or cross-border incursions.
As a key arm of Iran’s "Axis of Resistance," the Houthis have shown significant capabilities in the Red Sea. Intelligence suggests they are currently moving drone and missile assets and may resume direct fire toward Israel if tensions between the U.S. and Iran escalate.

Defense officials stress that Israel maintains full freedom of action. The message from the top brass is clear: the IDF is working to ensure that these "raids" never leave the computer screens of terrorists in Yemen.
"We are tracking every movement in the Yemeni arena," a senior security official stated. "Israel will not hesitate to act deep within Yemeni territory if necessary to protect its citizens."
