IDF Encircles Bint Jbeil: Hezbollah Terrorists Trapped in 'Spider-Web' Stronghold

Hundreds of IDF infantry and armored troops have completely cut off Bint Jbeil, trapping hundreds of Hezbollah terrorists inside. Forces are now positioned near the site of Nasrallah's infamous 2000 speech as a full-scale entry looms.

In a major operational development in Southern Lebanon, IDF forces have successfully completed the encirclement of Bint Jbeil over the past several days. Hundreds of infantry and armored troops have surrounded the town from all directions, preventing any entry or exit.

The Siege of the Second-Largest City

Bint Jbeil, a predominantly Shia town and the second-largest city in the Nabatieh Governorate, is currently a focal point of intense combat. IDF assessments suggest that hundreds of Hezbollah terrorists are trapped within the urban center. The Israeli Air Force and ground units are currently engaged in active exchanges of fire with these forces to neutralize the threat before a full-scale entry.

The Symbolic Fall of "Spider Web" Stadium

On Saturday, IDF vehicles were documented near the town's local soccer stadium, a site of immense symbolic importance. This is the escat place, where, in 2000, Hassan Nasrallah delivered his infamous "Spider Web" speech, in which he claimed that despite Israel's nuclear weapons and air power, the nation was "weaker than a spider's web."

With Nasrallah dead and Hezbollah’s leadership severely degraded, the presence of Israeli armor at this specific landmark signals a profound shift in the regional power balance.

Operational Outlook

While the Lebanese government remains largely sidelined and Iran has yet to intervene directly, the IDF is tightening the noose around the remaining operatives in the sector. Military sources indicate that Israeli forces are expected to push deeper into the heart of the town shortly to finalize the clearing of the terror infrastructure.
