IDF Soldier Touvel Yosef Lifshiz Killed in Combat in Southern Lebanon
An IDF soldier from Beit She'an was killed in combat against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. Corporal Touvel Yosef Lifshiz, 20, of the Golani Brigade's 13th Battalion, fell during fighting in a Hezbollah-dense area.
The Israeli military announced Wednesday the death of Corporal Touvel Yosef Lifshiz, 20, a soldier in the 13th Battalion of the Golani Brigade, who was killed in combat against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon.
Five additional soldiers were wounded in the same engagement and evacuated for medical treatment. Families of all casualties have been notified.
Lifshiz was from the city of Beit She'an. The IDF said he fell during a confrontation with Hezbollah fighters in an area of southern Lebanon described as dense with terrorist infrastructure.
The announcement was cleared for publication following the end of the Jewish holiday.
