Israeli Defense Forces operating under Southern Command destroyed a building in Jabaliya, northern Gaza Strip, on Tuesday that had been serving as a Hamas ambush position and weapons storage facility. According to military sources, the structure was being used to plan terrorist operations against IDF forces and to rebuild the organization's operational capabilities in the area.

The strike eliminated several terrorists who were operating from the location, according to an IDF spokesperson. The ambush point was positioned approximately 50 meters from the Yellow Line, the demarcation zone established under the ceasefire agreement, posing a direct threat to Israeli forces operating in the area in accordance with the arrangement.

The destroyed building was situated in close proximity to civilian infrastructure, located roughly 70 meters from Kamal Adwan Hospital and approximately 170 meters from a school. This positioning reflects Hamas's documented operational pattern of using civilian populations and facilities as human shields for its terrorist activities.

The IDF has continued intensive operations to dismantle terrorist infrastructure throughout the Gaza Strip. Over the past week, 20 terrorists who violated the ceasefire agreement have been eliminated, including the deputy commander of the Beit Lahia Nukhba company who participated in the October 7 attack on Israel.

An IDF spokesperson emphasized that "security forces under Southern Command are deployed throughout the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to act to remove any immediate threat." The operational activity is taking place alongside broader IDF operations across the Strip, with the military making clear it will not tolerate attacks on soldiers or residents of the Negev region.

This strike is part of a series of operations the IDF has conducted in recent days to destroy terrorist infrastructure in Gaza. Over the weekend, the Paratroopers Brigade completed three months of activity along the Yellow Line zone, during which forces destroyed 13 kilometers of terror tunnels and sealed extensive underground routes.
