The Israeli military carried out strikes against Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon overnight Sunday into Monday, responding to an attack in which the group launched two explosive drones at Israeli forces operating on the Ali Taher ridge in the southern Lebanese security zone. The IDF confirmed that no Israeli soldiers were injured in the drone attack.
In its response, the Israeli military targeted Hezbollah terror infrastructure across multiple areas of southern Lebanon, including a weapons storage facility. Separately, Israeli forces struck several operatives identified transporting military equipment near the village of Kfar Roummane, aiming to eliminate the threat to troops in the area.
Israeli forces also conducted strikes in the Nabatieh region, where they eliminated several Hezbollah operatives in response to yesterday's explosive drone launches in southern Lebanon.
The IDF stated that "prior to the strikes, measures were taken to minimize harm to uninvolved civilians, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance. The claim that several uninvolved civilians were harmed as a result of the strikes is being investigated."
The military added that "the IDF will not allow the Hezbollah terror organization to harm the citizens of the State of Israel and its forces, and will continue to act to remove threats while remaining committed to the ceasefire agreement."
