21,000 Strikes Later: The Massive Military Data Reveal That Should Terrify Tehran
The IDF has released a massive data dump summarizing the 2025 war effort, revealing the elimination of thousands of terrorists and dozens of top leaders in a campaign spanning from Gaza to the heart of Iran.
The Israeli Defense Forces released an exhaustive year-end summary on Wednesday, providing a data-driven look at the unprecedented scale of the multi-front war conducted throughout 2025. The report details a high-intensity campaign involving approximately 20,900 strikes across all arenas, including Gaza, Lebanon, Judea and Samaria, Yemen, and Iran. This massive operational push required the mobilization of roughly 306,830 reservists and saw the Israeli Navy log 130,000 hours at sea to secure the nation’s maritime borders and conduct roughly 50 strikes from the water.
In the south, the IDF reported a systematic dismantling of the terrorist infrastructure in Gaza. Southern Command hit about 19,530 targets and destroyed roughly 13,910 terror structures, including 270 weapons depots. The year was marked by the elimination of several key architects of the October 7 massacre, most notably Mohammed Sinwar, the head of Hamas’s military wing. Other high-ranking terrorists killed include Rafah Brigade commander Mohammed Shabana and naval chief Abdallah Abu Shamala. The military successfully eliminated four brigade-level, 14 battalion-level, and 53 company-level commanders, effectively decapitating much of the terrorist army's local leadership.
The campaign extended far beyond Gaza's borders. In the north, the IDF struck about 950 targets and eliminated 380 Hezbollah terrorists, including the group’s Chief of Staff Haytham Ali Tabatabai and several naval and anti-tank commanders. Meanwhile, Judea and Samaria saw the arrest of 7,400 terrorists, including 1,190 Hamas operatives, and the confiscation of 16.5 million shekels in terror funds. Perhaps the most significant data involves the Iranian arena, where under Operation Rising Lion, Israel struck 1,500 objectives. This operation resulted in the elimination of 11 nuclear scientists and 30 senior regime figures, including the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, and IRGC commander Hossein Salami.
The human and logistical toll of the war remains significant. The IDF reported that 821 soldiers were killed in action during the year, while 91 were wounded. Behind the lines, intelligence efforts were paramount, with Unit 504 conducting roughly 3,100 interrogations of captured terrorists to map out tunnel routes and weapon caches. On the home front, the military installed 1,500 mobile shelters and handled over 1.5 million calls to the emergency hotline, ensuring that despite 1,920 ceasefire violations by Hezbollah and constant threats from Houthi leaders in Yemen, the civilian population remained protected as the military systematically dismantled the "Axis of Resistance."
