A four-month-old infant is in critical condition after losing consciousness Thursday at a caregiver's home in Jerusalem's Givat Shaul neighborhood.
The baby didn't wake from sleep, prompting the caregiver to call emergency services. United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom teams performed CPR, chest compressions, ventilation and administered life-saving medications.
"His heart began beating again" after resuscitation efforts, medics reported. The infant was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Hospital in serious condition.
The public has been asked to pray for Elkana ben Tehila.
