Shabbat Escalation: Heavy Missile Barrages Hit Israel; Trump Vows to Bomb Coastline as IDF Eliminates Intel Chiefs
Heavy Iranian missile barrages hit Jerusalem, Eilat, and Central Israel over Shabbat, leaving three wounded. While the IDF eliminated top Iranian intelligence chiefs, President Trump vowed to bomb the Iranian coastline to keep the Strait of Hormuz open.

Over the course of Shabbat, numerous barrages were launched from Iran toward Israeli cities. On Shabbat afternoon, a massive barrage targeted several locations at once—Jerusalem, the Center, and the Eilat area. In Eilat, a "split-missile" landed, causing significant damage and resulting in three wounded persons being evacuated.
According to Mannie Fabian:
Two people are injured, including a child seriously, in Eilat in one of Iran's ballistic missile attacks, medics say.
Magen David Adom says it treated a 12-year-old in moderate-to-serious condition and a 39-year-old man in good condition.
A number of impact sites were reported in the city, possibly submunitions from a cluster bomb warhead or other falling fragments.
Later, another launch targeted the Center and the South. In Ness Ziona, there was a direct hit on a house, and impacts were also recorded in Lod and Beer Yaakov. No injuries were reported in these incidents.

President Trump's Statement
U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on his social network regarding the strikes in Iran:
"Many countries, especially those affected by Iran’s attempt to close the Strait of Hormuz, will send warships, in cooperation with the United States of America, to keep the Strait open and safe. We have already destroyed 100% of Iran’s military capability, but it is easy for them to send a drone or two, drop a mine, or launch a short-range missile somewhere along or within this waterway, no matter how hard they have been hit.
Hopefully, China, France, Japan, South Korea, Great Britain, and others affected by this artificial event will send ships to the area so that the Strait of Hormuz no longer poses a threat from a country whose head has been completely severed. Meanwhile, the United States will bomb the coastline to death, and will continue to shoot Iranian boats and ships out of the water. One way or another, we will soon open the Strait of Hormuz—it will be safe and free!"
