Did ISIS Arrive in Israel?
Just 18, and already an ISIS Bomb Maker? Acre Man Charged for Planning Attack on IDF Soldiers
Israeli security forces arrest 18-year-old Acre resident for planning an ISIS-inspired bombing attack on IDF soldiers. The suspect allegedly attempted to manufacture explosives for an attack on Israelis at a bus stop.

Israeli security forces announced today the successful thwarting of a planned terror attack targeting Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers at a bus stop in Acre. The operation culminated in the arrest of an 18-year-old local resident who allegedly sought to carry out the bombing in the name of the Islamic State (ISIS) terror organization.
Issa Madi, an 18-year-old from Acre, is facing charges after being detained in recent weeks by the Shin Bet security agency and the Israel Police. State prosecutors are slated to file an indictment against him today.
Details of the Alleged Plot
According to a joint statement released by authorities, Madi is accused of making contact with Islamic State operatives online and subsequently deciding to execute an attack under the group's banner.
Police allege that the target was a bus stop adjacent to the Acre train station, a location often frequented by soldiers. The method of the planned assault was an improvised explosive device (IED). Authorities stated that Madi attempted to manufacture the explosives necessary to carry out the attack.
The charges Madi faces include identifying with a terror group, attempting to manufacture explosives, and obstruction during the course of his arrest. The security services credited the timely intervention with preventing a potentially deadly attack on Israeli soldiers.
