Israel Hints at Sinwar's Death in Strike — “If He Was There, He’s Gone”
Israeli security sources speaking to Army Radio said that the strike was based on an "emerging opportunity" and that if Sinwar was at the site, he's dead.

Israeli security sources said that if Hamas senior leader Mohammad Sinwar was indeed at the site the IDF struck earlier today (Tuesday), then he is almost certainly dead.
Army Radio reporter Doron Kadosh updated that "Intelligence agencies carried out numerous operations to reach the highest possible level of certainty that there were no hostages at the target that was attacked."
He also said that "a security official tells us: "There is never 100%, but our main focus on this target was to verify this issue." The assassination attempt is defined as an "emerging opportunity." The attack severely collapsed the tunnel system in the area. Security officials say: If Sinwar was indeed there as we believe - he is dead. It's an aggressive attack that doesn't leave much room for doubt."
