Israel's National Insurance Institute has announced it will advance payment dates for various benefits and allowances in September to help recipients prepare for the upcoming High Holidays.
The move is designed to ease the financial burden on families, retirees, and benefit recipients as they face increased expenses during the festival season. By receiving payments earlier than usual, households will have more time to purchase holiday necessities without financial strain.
The adjusted payment schedule is as follows:
Unemployment and income support benefits will be paid on September 8, instead of the originally scheduled September 14, in advance of Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year).
Old age pensions, survivors' benefits, disability allowances, disabled child allowances, special services payments, mobility allowances, work injury benefits, alimony support, rehabilitation payments, long-term care benefits, and benefits for pre-state underground fighters will all be paid on September 22, instead of the originally scheduled September 28, ahead of Sukkot.
