A suspected shooting attack has been reported at Ramot Junction in Jerusalem.
At least two terrorists reportedly opened fire with automatic weapons at a bus and a crowded hitchhiking station. Some reports say the terrorists boarded bus #62 and started shooting.
The terrorists were armed with a homemade "Carlo" submachine gun and a pistol.
Eyewitnesses describe the shooting as taking place on a bus that was caught in an unusually heavy traffic jam, which stretched for hundreds of meters. The attackers reportedly opened fire on the bus as it sat stationary in the gridlock.
It's possible that Egged inspectors provided assistance to the terrorists.
Initial reports indicate there are over 15 casualties.
According to a statement from an MDA spokesperson, medics and paramedics declared the deaths of the four victims at the scene. The fatalities include a man in his 50s and three men in their 30s.
In addition, a 50 year-old woman tragically passed away, as reported by Shaarei Tzedek hospital.
Another people recently passed away as a result of his/her injuries, bringing the current death toll to 6.
In addition to the confirmed deaths, MDA teams are treating and evacuating five victims in serious condition with gunshot wounds to Jerusalem hospitals. A number of other people are being treated for light injuries from glass shards.
Emergency medical services are trying to save the lives of three of the wounded, which might include children.
One of the wounded is a woman, currently in her 8th month of pregnancy, with her first child.
