After landing in 22nd place in the Likud party's internal primary election, Finance Committee Chairman Hanoch Milwidsky accepted the results and wished success to those who will enter the Knesset

Finance Committee Chairman Hanoch Milwidsky responded Tuesday morning to the emerging results of the Likud party's primary elections, which placed him in 22nd position—a spot considered unlikely to secure a Knesset seat. In his statement, Milwidsky accepted the outcome of the vote and extended his best wishes to those who will join Likud's list for the 26th Knesset.

"Democracy is democracy, even when the results don't go your way," Milwidsky said. "I wish great success to the team chosen by Likud members. Major tasks and challenges lie ahead."

Alongside Milwidsky, the list of prominent figures currently outside realistic positions includes Ministers May Golan and Idit Silman, Minister Avi Dichter, and Knesset members Nissim Vaturi and Ariel Kellner. Sasson Guetta also finds himself far from positions expected to secure him a seat in the next Knesset.

The primary results determine the order in which Likud candidates will appear on the party's electoral list, with higher positions offering greater likelihood of winning a parliamentary seat.
