Israel's ruling Likud party has completed counting votes from its internal primary election, with Foreign Minister Eli Cohen emerging as the top vote-getter among party members. Cohen will be placed in the second position on the party's Knesset list, behind party leader and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana came in second place in the voting, while Justice Minister Yariv Levin finished third.
The final composition of the Likud list will be determined after Netanyahu exercises his prerogative to place candidates in reserved slots at positions 3, 4, 5, 9, 11, 15, 18, 26, and 29. These reserved positions allow the party leader to ensure representation for specific individuals or constituencies beyond the primary results.
