Singer Noa Kirel was hospitalized in Israel after she and her husband, footballer Daniel Peretz, cut short their honeymoon in Japan.
The couple flew to Japan this week for a long-awaited honeymoon, about six months after their high-profile wedding. The trip came during a rare break in their packed schedules, with Kirel coming off a demanding period of major performances and projects, while Peretz has been managing his football commitments abroad.
According to a report Saturday night by Israel Hayom, Kirel began feeling unwell shortly after the couple landed in Tokyo. Following her condition, the two decided to end the trip immediately and return to Israel.
After landing back in the country, Kirel was taken to a hospital in central Israel, where she is currently hospitalized.
At this stage, the circumstances of her hospitalization have not been made public, and the details are being kept under medical privacy. Members of Kirel’s family are by her side and have asked the public and the media to respect her privacy.
The interrupted trip followed an especially busy stretch for both Kirel and Peretz. Kirel had recently been working intensively on two major shows at Max Live Park in Rishon Lezion, along with additional projects. Peretz, meanwhile, has been training overseas and signed a four-year contract with English club Southampton this week.
The couple had hoped to use the Japan trip as a chance to rest after months of professional pressure and travel. Instead, the honeymoon was cut short almost immediately because of Kirel’s medical condition.
Her family has not released further details about her condition.
