The Relentless Air Campaign Crippling Tehran’s Arsenal

Operation Roaring Lion: 4,000 Bombs Dropped as Israel Hunts Iranian Launchers

Israeli fighter jets have neutralized 300 Iranian missile launchers and dropped over 4,000 munitions in a systematic 24/7 campaign to protect the Israeli home front.

The Israel Defense Forces have revealed the staggering scale of the ongoing aerial campaign against the Iranian regime, codenamed Operation Roaring Lion. According to newly released data, the Israeli Air Force has successfully put approximately 300 Iranian missile launchers out of commission since the start of the war. This achievement is the result of a relentless, round-the-clock "hunting effort" designed to find and destroy ballistic missile batteries and storage sites before they can be used to target Israeli population centers. With over 4,000 precision munitions dropped across Iranian territory and more than 1,600 individual flight sorties completed, the IDF is methodically stripping the regime of its ability to strike back, moving closer to a reality where the Iranian missile threat is permanently neutralized.

The Systematic Hunt

The campaign is characterized by its high intensity and geographic reach. In just the last 24 hours, hundreds of fighter jets and other aircraft operated simultaneously against hundreds of targets in both Iran and Lebanon. The primary focus of these missions is the destruction of the Iranian regime's ballistic missile arrays and its air defense systems. "The Air Force continues all the time in continuous waves of attacks against the ballistic missile arrays and the Iranian defense systems of the Iranian regime," the IDF stated. By combining real-time intelligence with rapid-response strikes, Israeli pilots are able to identify launchers as they emerge from hiding and destroy them within minutes.

The goal of the 1,600 sorties flown so far is to dramatically reduce the volume of fire directed at the Israeli home front. By putting 300 launchers out of use, the IDF has effectively removed a massive portion of the regime's immediate striking power. This systemic hunting effort involves aircraft loitering over Iranian territory for 24 hours a day, waiting for any sign of missile movement. The military clarified that this is a "hunting effort" that targets not only the launchers themselves but also the vast missile depots hidden throughout the country. This strategy aims to ensure that even if the regime has missiles, they lack the equipment and the safe locations required to fire them.

A Multi-Front Air Blitz

While the main effort remains focused on the Iranian interior, the IDF is also maintaining a heavy presence in Lebanon to deal with the Hezbollah threat. The simultaneous nature of these operations demonstrates the Air Force's ability to manage a multi-front war at an unprecedented scale. As the number of neutralized launchers continues to climb, security officials believe that the Iranian regime is reaching a tipping point where its offensive capabilities will be completely exhausted. With thousands of munitions still in the inventory and pilots working in continuous shifts, Operation Lion’s Roar is expected to maintain this crushing pace until the threat to Israel's citizens is entirely erased.
