Palestinian who spat on IDF officer surrenders to PA, now handed to Israel

After it was reported yesterday that the Palestinian who spat at a female officer sitting on a bus surrendered to the Palestinian Authority, this morning (Monday) the police announced that the suspect was transferred to Israel.

According to the police statement, "Following the instructions of the minister and the inspector general, the officers of the Judea and Samaria District, in cooperation with the Civil Administration, acted and the suspect surrendered to the Judea and Samaria District of the Israel Police."

Yesterday, a video was published showing the young Arab getting up from his seat at the back of the bus, moving toward the rear exit door, and just before exiting the bus, he spat at the officer, who reacted with disgust. Following the release of the footage, it was reported yesterday that the spitter is an illegal resident who turned himself in to the Palestinian police.
