A Sad Ending: the Body of the Young Woman who was Recorded Being Kidnapped was Found
After she was filmed being abducted to Gaza from the party in Re'im, Shani Louk's family members announced that they had been informed of her death. Despite the assessment that 22-year-old Louk was hospitalized in Gaza, it is now said that her body has been located.

Three weeks after she was filmed being abducted to Gaza from the party in Re'im in a Hamas video, Shani Louk's family members announced this morning (Monday) that they had been informed of her death. This is despite estimates in recent weeks that 22-year-old Louk is hospitalized in Gaza, now it is said that the young woman's body has been located.
"It is with great sadness that we announce the death of my sister, the late Shani Nicole Louk, who was on October 7, 2023, at the festival in Re'im," wrote her sister Adi on Instagram. Her mother Ricarda, who holds German citizenship and previously appealed to the authorities in Germany for help in locating her daughter, also said to the RTL network that "unfortunately we received the news yesterday that my daughter is no longer alive".
As previously mentioned, Louk was recorded in a Hamas video when she was kidnapped to Gaza on October 7, when she is seen lying on a truck surrounded by terrorists. It is not clear if Louk was alive at the time of the recording, but it was estimated that she was hospitalized in Gaza - this after it was reported that Louk's credit card was used in a local hospital.
