German State Secretary of Defense meets Israeli counterpart to discuss war, Arrow 3 deal

German State Secretary of Defense Benedikt Zimmer arrived in Israel today (Thursday) as the guest of Defense Ministry Director-General Eyal Zamir.

The two discussed developments regarding the war, humanitarian aid, and the progress of the sale of Arrow 3 anti-missile systems based on an agreement signed last November.

Interest in Israel's anti-missile systems has grown since the war started and fears of Russian ambitions have grown, with a major German weapons manufacturer even calling for Europe to have an "Iron Dome" of its own.
