Report: Israel increasing pressure on Biden admin for weapons shipments

The systems in question are unrelated to the 2,000 pound bombs the White House has been holding up over civilian casualty concerns.

With Prime Minister Netanyahu meeting with President Biden today (Thursday), POLITICO is reporting that Israel is pressuring the Biden administration to speed up delivery of several weapons systems so Israel can keep its stockpiles full.

The weapons request is reportedly not related to the 2,000-pound bombs the administration has been holding up for months over concerns that it may cause excessive civilian casualties.

Israel would not specify who the weapons are meant for, though it is likely they want the weapons to deal with one or more of Iran's proxies.

According to Congressional leaders in the know, the administration may be delaying the delivery of these weapons for two possible reasons. One is to help force Netanyahu to agree to a cease-fire, and the other is to speed up the delivery when Congress is in recess so no delays can happen from the House.
