Shawn Mendes Addresses Gaza War and Antisemitism at Concert

Canadian singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes, during his concert at the MEO Arena in Lisbon spoke publicly for the first time about the ongoing war in Gaza and the rise in antisemitism, expressing heartbreak over the situation while condemning hatred directed at Jewish people. In a video clip from the event, Mendes told the audience: "What’s been happening in Gaza has been absolutely breaking my heart, and turning pain and suffering into hatred towards Jewish people as a whole is wrong. I feel like it’s our generation’s job to learn from the wisdom of our parents and grandparents but also learn from the mistakes of those generations.
