The soldiers, from Battalion 9215 of the Iron Fist Brigade (205), were injured when a bomb was detonated near the shaft they were investigating.
The IDF stated that all families of the injured have been updated, and the battalion will continue to support them. The soldiers involved will receive guidance and counselling from military psychologists.
Earlier today, IDF Spokesman Avichai Adraee called once again on the Gazan population in the southern Khan Younis and northern Rafah areas to evacuate immediately to the humanitarian zone in Mawasi. This follows continued firing from the area towards communities near Gaza.
“We urge all residents who have not yet evacuated the neighbourhoods of Sheikh Nasser, Joret Al-Lot, Al-Manara, Ma’an, Kizan Al-Najar, Kizan Abu Rashwan, Al-Salam, Musbah, and Al-Heshesh to do so immediately for your safety,” Adraee said. “Hamas and terrorist organizations continue to fire rockets from your area into Israel. The IDF will act forcefully against terrorist elements in that area.”
