A reserve soldier and an officer who joined Battalion 9220 in the Etzioni Brigade were seriously wounded Sunday in battle in southern Lebanon. The soldiers were evacuated to hospitals for medical treatment and their families were updated.

Earlier today (Sunday) it was reported that an underground tunnel shaft was located this morning during IDF combat activity in southern Lebanon in a building leading to a residence area for terrorists with an exit shaft nearby.

The forces surrounded the building, investigated the tunnel shaft and located an underground compound about 7 meters deep and 50 meters of space where a Hezbollah terrorist had barricaded himself along with weapons and equipment for a long stay.

After the captured terrorist surrendered and was arrested, the combat forces interrogated him on the ground and then brought him to a detention facility for further interrogation in Israeli territory.

Over the past 24 hours, our forces attacked and destroyed 200 terrorist targets belonging to Hezbollah in southern and deep inside Lebanon. At the same time, the maneuvering forces eliminated dozens of terrorists and located large quantities of weapons.
