Israel-Hezbollah War
Gallant: Hezbollah will be kept away from border - even after IDF leaves
The Defense Minister said that the first line of villages along the border was a "military target" being used by Hezbollah to store weapons and launch rockets, and would be destroyed.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant visited the northern border today (Sunday), where he discussed the importance of holding the first line of villages right across the northern border, according to Israel Hayom.
According to his statement, "the first line of villages is a Hezbollah military target, with thousands of weapons and missiles and hundreds of tunnels. These places will be destroyed, and we will not allow the return of Hezbollah even after the departure of IDF forces."
Meanwhile, the IDF continues to operate along the border inside Lebanon, eliminating terrorists, and locating tunnels and weapons caches.
The reserve 146th Division, including combat teams belonging to the 2nd Carmeli Brigade, the 205th Iron Fist Brigade, 300th Brigade and 646th Brigade have been operating in the area over the last week.
So far, these forces have eliminated over 100 terrorists and located and destroyed dozens of tunnel shafts and terrorist infrastructures. They also destroyed more than 50 rocket launchers and more than 60 Hezbollah terror command structures.
