Deputy IDF Chief of Staff Major General Amir Baram visited the northern front yesterday (Tuesday), talking to the troops, touring captured Hezbollah tunnel sites, and conducting a situational assessment with other senior officers.

While there, Baram said that "for years, the 91st Division and Northern Command have prepared for defense and blocking what Hezbollah called the 'conquest of the Galilee.' It makes us proud and powerful to be fighting now in the area from which they planned to hurt us - destroying their infrastructures and plans."

Encouraging continued operations, he said "that's what we need to do, there is no other way. Continue the quality and significant activity which will affect us for years in the future and on the Middle East."
