The attacker targeted a police patrol in Amman’s Rabia neighborhood before being eliminated; three Jordanain officers were injured.

An armed terrorist fired at the Israeli embassy in Jordan on Saturday night and was killed when he opened fire on a police patrol in Amman's Rabia neighborhood, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
Witnesses at the scene told Reuters that Jordanian police had earlier sealed off an area near the embassy after gunshots were heard. Two of them said that police forces and medical teams rushed to the Rabia neighborhood, where the embassy is located.
Recently, this area has been the site of frequent anti-Israel demonstrations. Jordanian police urged residents to stay in their homes while security forces searched for culprits, a security source said.
