Israeli sources report that an agreement with Lebanon is nearly complete, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu now deliberating how to present it to the public.

According to Kan 11 News, Israel has signaled its readiness to American mediator Amos Hochstein to advance the agreement. However, despite progress, a final green light has not yet been issued.

On Sunday evening, Netanyahu held a limited security consultation with select ministers, focusing on maintaining the IDF’s freedom of action along the Syria-Lebanon border. U.S. assurances have reportedly been given to Jerusalem, guaranteeing operational freedom in the event of any violations of the agreement.

An Israeli official emphasized that while significant steps have been taken, “A final green light has not yet been given to the agreement with Hezbollah – there are still issues that need to be discussed and solved.”

Lebanon has yet to formally respond to the proposal. Meanwhile, a senior Israeli security official warned, “If we do not reach a ceasefire agreement soon, Lebanon will also pay the price.”
