This doggie is still in a Hamas captive
The saddest Husky in the world: Luna is still held hostage in Gaza
In a crisis where every return is celebrated and every loss mourned, Luna's story reminds us that the threads of October 7's tragedy are woven through every aspect of life in southern Israel, down to the pets who were part of these shattered families.

Among the thousands of stories from October 7, this one has remained largely untold: pets were also taken to Gaza during the Hamas attacks.
Several dogs taken that day have already made remarkable journeys home, navigating their way back to Israeli territory on pure instinct, but Luna, a striking Husky, is still missing.
Luna's unique appearance - white-blonde fur and those remarkable different-colored eyes - makes her instantly recognizable, a blessing her owners cling to as they wait for news.
She's one of two dogs still unaccounted for since that Saturday morning when chaos descended on southern Israel.
"We believe she's alive," say her owners Tal and Eliad, "We haven't lost hope at all."
