A 27-year-old construction worker sustained critical injuries Sunday after a solar water heater exploded while he was working on it in Jerusalem. Emergency medical personnel from Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel's national emergency medical service, responded to the scene and provided initial treatment before transporting the injured man to hospital. He suffered burns covering his entire body, according to first responders.
Eliyahu Arentroy, an emergency medical technician from MDA's motorcycle unit, and fellow medic Shlomi Friedman described the scene upon arrival. "The worker was burned during his work when the solar water heater exploded," they reported. "He was fully conscious and suffering from burns across all parts of his body. We began providing medical treatment and evacuated him to the hospital while continuing medical care. His condition is serious."
