Ben Gvir meets face-to-face with members of the terror cell that attempted to assassinate him

National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir released footage of a dramatic encounter he held about a month ago at a prison in southern Israel, during which he stood face-to-face with members of a terror cell that had plotted to assassinate him and harm his family.

Ben Gvir described the meeting: "I looked them in the eyes, their legs were shaking." During the visit, the minister addressed one of the terrorists directly and said: "You picked the wrong minister. I'm not afraid of you or a thousand like you. And with Hashem's help we will execute you. You need to die, you need to die. We need to kill you by hanging, with the death penalty."

During the conversation, he asked the terrorist about conditions in the prison: "How are your conditions here? How are the conditions?" The terrorist replied: "No, no, it's not easy. Prison." He responded: "It used to be the Hilton before I came. But today that's changed."

He added that he intentends to continue tightening conditions: "I'm telling you, I will continue to make conditions harsher in the prisons. I will continue to give you every reason to hate me. You see? You tried to harm me, I only became stronger. Hakadosh Baruch Hu is watching from above. I'm telling you, I'm continuing to do everything I did, because this is our Am Yisrael and our state."
