IDF eliminates senior Hezbollah commander
The IDF says it eliminated a senior Hezbollah commander "repeatedly" violating the ceasefire terms of demilitarizing southern Lebanon.

The IDF eliminated a senior Hezbollah terrorist, part of the organization's aerial unit, today (Saturday) after it "repeatedly" violated the ceasefire, whose terms include the complete non-state demilitarization of southern Lebanon.
According to the IDF statement:
An Israel Air Force aircraft recently carried out a precise strike, guided by Military Intelligence, against a key terrorist in Hezbollah's aerial unit in southern Lebanon.
The terrorist was targeted after repeatedly violating the understanding of arrangements between Israel and Lebanon in recent weeks, including his involvement in leading launches of unmanned aircraft toward Israeli territory.
The IDF continues to operate to remove any threat to the State of Israel and will prevent any attempt by the Hezbollah terrorist organization to establish itself, which contradicts the understandings reached between Israel and Lebanon.
The IDF is set to withdraw from Lebanon in three days, in accordance with the deadline agreed upon with the United States, following an extension from the extension of the original deadline from January 26.
Israel had insisted it could not withdraw on the original deadline due to what they called the slow deployment of the Lebanese Army in southern Lebanon and "hundreds" of Hezbollah violations of the agreement in trying to move armed men and weapons into or around southern Lebanon, an area meant to be demilitarized.
