Hezbollah Ambushes IDF Forces in Southern Lebanon: Nine Injured
The IDF suffered casualties in Lebanon during fierce close-quarters combat as Chief of Staff Zamir vows to fundamentally change the security reality "from Tehran to Beirut."

Two IDF officers were seriously wounded and seven other soldiers injured in separate Hezbollah attacks involving anti-tank missiles and rockets in Southern Lebanon.
According to military censorship-cleared reports from Saturday evening, the IDF faced two significant incidents in the past 24 hours:
Anti-Tank Missile Ambush: During an encounter with Hezbollah operatives on Friday evening (Erev Shabbat), an anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) struck Israeli positions, seriously wounding one officer and moderately wounding another.
Rocket Barrage on Ground Forces: Overnight Friday, a rocket strike targeted a concentration of forces in the border region. One officer was seriously wounded, and six additional soldiers sustained moderate injuries. All casualties have been evacuated to hospitals, and their families have been notified.
In a notable tactical development, elite Shayetet 13 naval commandos conducted a raid on a school in the village of Al-Khiam. Forces located hundreds of weapons, including anti-tank missiles, mortars, and explosive charges.
UNHCR (UN Refugee Agency) equipment and branding was disocered alongside the weapons caches, raising further questions about the use of civilian and international infrastructure by Hezbollah's Radwan Force.
IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir conducted a field assessment in Southern Lebanon on Saturday. His remarks framed the current ground maneuver as part of the broader war against the Iranian axis:
"We are at a historic crossroads... We are acting offensively to change the security situation fundamentally, from Tehran to Beirut."
Zamir confirmed that the IAF has shifted focus to destroying bridges and access routes north of the Litani River to physically prevent Radwan Force reinforcements from reaching the frontline.
