The Isreli Gronis committee, tasked with vetting senior appointments informed the High Court that there is no legal justification to intervene in the appointment of Major General Roman Gofman To the position of the new head of the "Mossad". The petition was originally filed by a group of bereaved families and the "Lavi" organization, citing Gofman's role during the events of October 7th.

The committee’s response stated that Gofman meets all professional requirements for the position and that his military record, including his conduct during the outbreak of the war, does not disqualify him from serving as the Military Secretary to Prime Minister benjamin netanyahu.

The recommendation emphasizes that the authority to appoint a military secretary lies with the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense, and as long as the process followed proper administrative procedures, the court should not interfere. The High Court is expected to issue a final ruling on the matter in the coming days.
